About
Have you ever felt let down by your body? Or maybe wondered what was happening to you as the years go by? Why things just aren’t the same as they once were?
Me too.
As a busy, working mother of four kids, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, out-of-shape and the idea of initiating sex with my husband was definitely not on the top of my to-do list. And I was only in my 30s! Something had to give, and I didn’t want that something to be me. My passions had always included nutrition, fitness, and all things self-improvement. I knew if I dug hard enough, I could find the answers.
So I did.
And now I get to spend my days sharing the joys (and the how-tos) of gaining BACK control of your body. While I did my residency training in anesthesiology, this journey led me to certifications in Age Management Medicine, Anti-aging Medicine, Hormone Replacement Therapy, and Nutrition. With this expertise, I have the privilege of helping men and women rediscover themselves as they learn the lifestyle and medical components of living a healthy, long, enjoyable life. I am wholly committed to excellent patient care while honoring each individual as unique, with his/her own personal goals and needs. I treasure the conversations I have with all my patients, and I know the topics can be awkward to discuss. This is why I work especially hard to have a private, relaxing environment comfortable for all.
Along this journey, I have learned many important lessons. And since experiencing the loss of my own marriage, I have developed a special place in my heart for marriages. One of my favorite parts of my job is having the privilege of working with couples. I get to be a part of helping them get closer and more connected by rediscovering and fostering a healthy sexual relationship-even long after the empty nest.
Our Mission
I started AgeWell with a specific mission in mind–to provide personalized medical care and education for patients desiring to reach their fullest potential in health. I wanted to create a place where patients could come to think outside the box of conventional medicine. Using hormone replacement therapy, lifestyle changes, cutting-edge procedures, and medicines when appropriate, I work closely alongside each patient to prevent, reverse, treat, and manage hormone imbalance issues and lifestyle-related diseases that occur with age. Our goal is to optimize patient health, adding years to their life and life to their years.
Our Values and Principles
At AgeWell we believe in developing close, long-term relationships with our patients. The following principles guide us in providing the best possible care to all of our patients.
Our patients deserve excellence.
Our patients deserve commitment.
Our patients deserve honesty and integrity.
Our patients’ time is valuable.
Our patients’ health is priceless.
I’d love to meet you and have the honor of being your doctor. Leave us your email and let us know if we can see you as a patient now or whether you’d prefer joining our email list so you can receive updates and information on all the exciting things happening at AgeWell.
In Case You Were Wondering
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. After a super fun collegiate golf career at Vanderbilt University, I settled down to get my medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Next stop, anesthesia training at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. I finally moved back to Texas in 2005 where I practiced as a board-certified anesthesiologist for many years. While I maintain my board certification in anesthesia, I am not currently working in an operating room setting. I am currently also certified through the Age Management Medicine Group and am an active member in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners, the International Peptide Society, and the Age Management Medicine Group.
